Heli Breeze

A hillside above the Aegean, just after sunrise. The white walls of the houses are catching the first light and the path down to the water still has yesterday's dust on it. A woman walks out onto her terrace barefoot, coffee in hand. Below her, a small grove of orange and lime trees climbs the slope. Bougainvillea spills over a low stone wall. A linen curtain lifts in the wind. The day hasn't asked anything of anyone yet.
